ANS:
You can either come to visit us with measurements in hand or email us your measurements. (Actual pictures of your kitchen also help.) Our email address is info@lestonekitchen.com. We will then estimate the price for you. If you visit the showroom, we can do your estimate in 10-20 minutes. This is not the final measurement that will be used, so don’t worry about being exact at this time. If you have us install the countertops, we will send our granite installer to take the exact final measurements once the order is made. If you would like to install small pieces or small vanity tops yourself, you can double-check your measurements before you place your order. ANS: We are a direct importer. Therefore, we can sell at low prices. Our goal is to provide our customers affordable luxury.
ANS: We recommend granite countertops be sealed. We recommend sealing the granite right away after installation with a heavy-duty sealer. We currently have available for purchase a 25-Year Sealer for $70 + tax for the homeowner to apply after installation. Each bottle covers up to 75 ft2 of countertop. Clean the countertops well. Let them dry overnight, you do not want lock in any moisture when sealing your countertops. Apply two coats of the sealer according to the directions on the bottle. Quartz countertops are stain-resistant, and therefore do not need a sealer applied. Quartz and sealed granite are stain-resistant, but not stain-proof.
ANS: Both granite and quartz are highly scratch-resistant. Granite is especially resistant to scratches. Granite is the second hardest natural substance next to diamonds.
ANS: All of our cabinet boxes are made of 100% plywood. There is no particle board or compressed wood in the construction of our cabinet boxes or drawer boxes. Most of our cabinet door and drawer fronts are made of 100% solid maple wood. Our cabinet styles have dovetailed, solid wood drawer boxes with undermount glides, all except the "Cherry" cabinets, and the "Simply White", "Simply Gray", and the "Simply Espresso"
ANS: Granite is natural stone. Quartz is man-made. Both granite and quartz are highly scratch-resistant. Granite is highly heat-resistant up to about 400`F. Quartz is considered heat-resistant, but can only tolerate temperatures of around 100`-150`F. Quartz is stain-resistant. Granite is not stain-resistant and must be sealed.
ANS: The same care guidelines apply for both granite and quartz surfaces. The only care instruction difference is that quartz does not need to be sealed. Take care with the three A's: acids, alcohol (rubbing or drinking), and ammonia. Wipe these up right away, or they could etch the countertops. Do not use ammonia-based cleaners, bleach, acidic cleaners (like vinegar), or cleaners that contain alcohol as an ingredient. Simply use soap and water, a specific granite/quartz cleaner, or ammonia-free Windex to clean the countertops. For best results, clean liquid spills and dried foods as soon as possible.
ANS: We have been in business in the same location at 1199 Milepost Drive in Columbus, OH since 2006.
ANS: We provide a free design service when doing an estimate for kitchen and bathroom cabinets. We do designs based on measurements you provide us by stopping by the showroom, faxing, or emailing. You can pay a fee to have our installer come out and do final/exact measurements. That fee will be applied to an order that includes installation. Otherwise, it is not refundable. The measurement fee is not an in-home estimate; nor do we do in-home design consultations. The measurements taken will be relayed to the showroom the next day where one of our design consultants will complete your estimate.
ANS: Measurements of your space on a top-view diagram and photos of your space (kitchen, bathroom, etc.). A lot of our customers also find it helpful to bring cabinet samples (if not also purchasing our cabinets), flooring samples, backsplash samples, and paint chips. This is not necessary, but if you already have selected these other items, it can help to bring them along.
ANS: We do not reface existing cabinets. We also do not just replace doors. However, we encourage you to still get an estimate from us. Many of our customers have said our prices for new cabinets are a lot less than estimates they have received for refacing or new doors.
ANS: We will travel within a three-hour radius of Columbus. However, we do apply trip fees to towns/cities outside a certain area. Please call us for more information.
ANS: We do not do plumbing. We do not tear-out or haul-away the existing/old countertops. If a customer has an existing Formica or laminate countertop, they can ask the installer at the final measurement how much it would be to tear it out, but the installer still will not haul it away. He can put it in your garage, backyard, or cut into pieces to put out by the road.
ANS: We price countertop materials by the square foot. (There is no need for you to figure out your square footage, just email, fax, or stop by with a diagram of the shape (rectangular, "L"-shaped, or "U"-shaped, etc.) and rough measurements of countertops (lengths and widths).) We do not price by the slab.
ANS: We keep around ten colors on a rotating basis that are available at a sale price and for no square foot minimum. There is a 40 ft2 minimum for any special order material. If your job is small enough, we may have remnants available for a discounted rate that also would have no square foot minimum.
ANS: Our customers are very pleased, and they keep coming back. Our business is referral-based. Other than the sign on our building, we do not advertise. Often when customers walk in our door, they say that not just one person referred them, but many of the people they spoke to about their remodel told them to come to us. Please visit our Testimonials page to read more about what our customers have to say about our products and our service.
